DESCRIPTION
The AD14 is a cost effective, new generation MRAP (mine resistant ambush protected) vehicle with high levels of ballistic, landmine and IED protection, coupled with superior on-road handling and off-road mobility operating in all environments. Protection is certified by independent 3rd parties against STANAG 4569 standards, using AEP55 Vol 1 (ballistic), Vol 2 (landmine) and Vol 3 (IED) procedures. A weapon system of the client’s choice can be mounted on the roof, with custom made weapons stations available from Meerkat Mobility.The components of the AD14 has been carefully selected to minimise acquisition and life cycle costs, and systems availability is increased with spare parts and maintenance support in all theatres of operations.
The interior of the AD14 is fully customisable to different variants, ranging from an APC, ambulance, command post or riot control vehicle variants. Other variants of the AD14 is also available with higher levels of ballistic protection, 8 instead of 10 dismounts, independent suspension and driveline components from alternative suppliers.

It can be Optionally equipped with a laser rangefinder with a wavelength of 905 nm.
The turret machine gun system is installed on lightly armoured vehicles and is designed to engage lightly armoured vehicles and air targets (helicopter) at ranges up to 2000 m day and night. The combat module is Autonomous, closed, stabilised, remotely controlled from the operator’s seat. The SHAKA-12.7 is produced in two ranges, the first being manual and the second being electronic.
